Always unplug your power bank from the power source when it has fully charged. Never connect the leads of your power bank to external power, as this could cause unsafe conditions. Never use your power bank to charge more than one device at a time. When charging your device on a power bank, it is highly recommended to use a grounded power source. It is nearly impossible for a high-performance power bank to maintain the same voltage or power on both sides of its output pins. This is why most high-end power banks always have a second set of output pin. Some high-end power banks have an option to active or inactive the output pins. Enabling the output pins means the pins will connect both to your device and to the power supply.
High-quality power banks will normally need protection circuitry to prevent damage if output gets too high. This circuitry will normally prevent the output pins from permanently being connected to both ground and the power supply if they exceed the output rating of the power bank. This will prevent the device from directly powering your device, usually to prevent serious damage to the device. It is usually turned off when properly charging your power bank, and needs to be reactivated before charging your device.
Charge your device on an AC adaptor that is no more than 3A (portable battery mode is not recommended by most power banks). The only exception is devices that can receive even lower input (1A, 1.5A), such as some tablet, phone, and wearable electronics.
