You can release a floating license (check a license in) without closing your Sigasi Studio application or Eclipse application. This is useful if you use Eclipse to edit other files than VHDL files, like C or Tcl.

First, make sure that all VHDL and Verilog files are closed and all VHDL and Verilog projects are closed. Next select Help > Sigasi > Floating license > Release Sigasi Floating Licenses

Make sure both the Sigasi and FlexNet daemon are the same version (i.e. from the same zip-file from the Sigasi download server). If you need to mix versions, the FlexNet daemon version should be equal to or higher than the Sigasi daemon version.

Registration and user account: Your user account is created automatically when you first register a Melodyne license. To do this, simply enter the serial number. Installation program: When you download the installation program (whether for macOS or Windows) from your user account, it installs the latest versions of the stand-alone implementation of Melodyne as well as of all the various plug-ins. The installation program is generally personalized, containing not only your serial number but also information about any other products registered to your user account. This information is stored on your hard disk in a license file and saves you having to enter your serial number before activating the computer. If you received your installation program as part of a bundle, in that case you may have to type in the serial number provided.

The installation program you download from your user account installs the stand-alone implementation of Melodyne as well as all the various plug-ins. In the process, the following files are placed in the following locations:

GAMS searches a couple of system wide and user specific locations for a license file. For macOS these locations include /Library/Application Support/GAMS and /Users/username/Library/Application Support/GAMS. The locations can vary due to different system configuration. One can get an ordered list of data directories GAMS searches for gamslice.txt by running the program ./gamsinst -listdirs from the GAMS system directory. Even though this list might contain locations in the system directory, e.g. /Applications/GAMS31.1 we strongly discourage to place gamslice.txt here.

If for some reason the license.licx file is missing and you are getting build errors because of it, you can rebuild the application and it should be recreated. Another approach is to create an empty license.licx file in the root of your Web Site or in the /ProjectName/Properties folder, if you are developing a Web Application project.

The software will create a lot of license files in the selected folder, you delete them all, leaving only the studioapp5.pro file. Now you return to Studio One 5 software, click on Select License File and navigate to the file studioapp5.pro just created.
